Our programs

Resources. Human connection. Education.

Three programs we're building carefully. Each one is in development. Sign up and we'll let you know as they open.

Veterans Resource Center

One place to start.

Veteran resources are spread across federal agencies, state governments, universities, nonprofits, and countless websites. Finding information isn't always the problem. Finding the right information for you is.

The Resource Center is being developed as an accessible hub that helps veterans spend less time searching and more time moving forward. You won't need to know the name of a program before asking for help. Just start with what you're trying to accomplish.

Areas it will cover

  • Federal & VA benefits
  • Education benefits
  • Employment & careers
  • Housing
  • Financial assistance
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Veteran & family services
  • Transition resources
  • Reentry support
  • State-specific programs

State Veterans Resource Map

Your benefits don't stop at the federal level. State programs vary dramatically, and we're building an interactive map so veterans can answer: “What resources are available to me where I live?”

Speak With a Veteran

Sometimes the best resource is another veteran.

A website can give you a link. A search engine can give you thousands. Neither replaces talking to someone who can say, “I've actually done this before.”

Speak With a Veteran is our peer-navigation initiative. It will connect veterans and service members with veteran volunteers who have firsthand experience in an area they want to learn about. It might be a 15-minute virtual coffee chat, a phone call, or a longer conversation.

Over time, we plan to grow this into Next Mission Mentorship: longer-term pairings where a mentor stays connected while a veteran works toward a milestone like college admission, a new career, or starting a business.

Conversations could cover

  • Using the GI Bill
  • Navigating VR&E
  • Applying to college
  • Graduate school
  • Military transition
  • Career changes
  • Starting a business
  • Life after service
Peer support disclaimer. The Service Connection Project and its veteran volunteers provide peer education, mentorship, and resource navigation. Peer volunteers do not replace accredited Veterans Service Officers, attorneys, medical professionals, financial advisers, mental-health professionals, or other licensed or credentialed professionals. When professional help is appropriate, our goal is to help veterans identify and connect with qualified organizations or professionals.

The Valor Fund

Investing in veterans who are building what comes next.

Veterans have access to some extraordinary educational programs, but benefits don't always cover everything. Books, technology, transportation, certifications, equipment, and unexpected fees can become barriers.

The Valor Fund is our education-support initiative. Its purpose is to expand educational opportunity for veterans and service members while encouraging a greater understanding of the benefits they have earned.

Valor Education Scholarship

Being developed to provide financial assistance to eligible veterans and service members pursuing education or professional development. Awards will be governed by published eligibility requirements, application procedures, and available funding.

Benefits Literacy Initiative

Learn what you've earned. Participants would complete educational material on veteran benefits and demonstrate their understanding, and qualifying participants may become eligible for an educational award. Knowledge has value.
